The proposed site comprises of land at North Haugh, Northbank, Langlands and land between the Strathkinness High and Low Roads.
The site lies approximately 1km to the west of St. Andrews town centre.
St Andrews West will comprise a mix of residential, University, business, education, local retail and community uses. It will also include all associated infrastructure such as footpaths and roads. The development will be enhanced with a wealth of public open spaces and landscaping.
The key project features include:
- • Around 900 new homes (of which 30% will be affordable housing)
- • University uses
- • A business park / employment land
- • Local retail
- • Care Home
- • Hotel
- • Community and social infrastructure
- • Land for a new secondary school if taken forward by Fife Council;
A Collaborative Project
Always mindful of the impact on the local community, St Andrews West LLP is now looking to recommence earlier conversations with the community and key stakeholders to advance the preparation of a masterplan for St Andrews West. To do so, we will be actively engaging with residents and other stakeholders throughout the process by holding public exhibitions where the local community help shape the masterplan and PPP application which will be submitted to Fife Council in Summer 2017.
