St Andrews West are delighted to announce that a planning application has been submitted by the Trustees of the William Gibson Trust for a new 40 bedroom care home to replace the current Gibson Trust Care Home on Argyle Street in St Andrews. The new home will offer en-suite bedrooms for 40 residents designed to allow them to live in units of 10 with smaller communal areas allowing the residents to be part of what should feel like home in the traditional sense.
With the new Madras College already delivered, and other planning applications currently being considered by Fife Council, the vision for the initial phase of St Andrews West is becoming a reality. Creating a place where the new residents, University, school, businesses, and wider community can thrive in a beautiful setting where sustainability, placemaking, contemporary architecture, active travel connections, quality public open space and appropriate local amenities, are embedded in the design and implementation of the development.
